International Dance Shoes were the first dance shoe brand to offer the Suede Tip Heel Protectors.  The benefit of using Heel Protectors includes increasing friction and protecting the base of the heel and the floor.  This protection improves the heels lifespan, whilst some competition organisers may request the use of Heel Protection.  The Suede offers a Suede surface area, which is more consistent with the sole of the shoes.
